Background: 

The Spheres of Control scale (SOC) is a multidimensional measure of locus of control, originally designed to assess personal control, interpersonal control, and socio-political control.The Spheres of Control Scale comprises three subscales: Personal, Interpersonal, and Socio-Political Control. The instrument has now been available for almost 10 years and has been used in a wide variety of studies.
