Primary use / Purpose: 

The Quality of Life – Thyroid Version (QOL-TV) is an ordinal questionnaire of 30-items rated on a 10 point Likert-type scale. Its purpose is to measure the quality of life in thyroid cancer patients.


With the introduction and growing acceptance of the biopsychosocial model of health it is becoming increasingly common to assess the quality of life of patients before, during, or after serious illness, pain, or surgery. The Quality of Life – Thyroid Version (QOL-TV) is designed to address this specific need in relation to cancer survivors.


The psychometric properties of the Quality of Life – Thyroid Version (QOL-TV) are discussed in the introduction of the Instrument which is attached below.
