Primary use / Purpose:

The End of Life Knowledge Assessment-RN/LVN Version is a 24-item assessment tool. Its purpose is to measure the ‘end of life care’ knowledge of caregivers; specifically, that of registered nurses (RN) and licenced vocational nurses (LVN).

Background:

Quality palliative care is important in ensuring the wellbeing of those suffering with a terminal illness. Without sufficient training nurses will struggle to meet the many tough demands of being a palliative caregiver. The End of Life Knowledge Assessment RN/LVN Version is therefore a useful tool for specifically evaluating the ‘end of life care-giving’ knowledge of both registered, and licenced vocational nurses.
